Gadhimai Animal protection Campaign

In December 2024, the Gadhimai festival in Nepal, known for mass animal killings, was expected to see nearly 5 lakh animals sacrificed—most of them illegally exported from India through the Bihar border. To stop this, Shri Akhil Bharatiya Krishi Gau Seva Sansthan, along with volunteers, NGOs, and the Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB), worked hard on the ground to stop animal smuggling.

At the same time, Team Jainik, with Shri Vardhman Parivar and Shatrunjay Yuvak Mandal, ran a strong awareness campaign on social media and consequently, over 70,000 emails were sent to the government asking for action. As a result, the Bihar government sealed the Indo-Nepal border, and the number of animal sacrifices during the festival dropped significantly.

This was a big step forward for saving animals and spreading the message of non-violence.
